​Elijah Badua is a classically trained instrumentalist, Producer and DJ, known for his experimental audio-visual performances, combining ambient/downtempo futurist sounds with traditional modal music of the near east, and baroque elements to create an atmosphere that dissolves boundaries marked by genre yet is sleek, contemporary & soulful. His dedicated immersion in global music both modern & antiquated shows in his mixes, focusing heavily on afro-diaspora rhythms including Batida, Maloya, Baile Funk, and Amapiano. Mixed with traditional Warehouse Techno, Acid, Minimal, Footwork and Afrotech, his sound is forward thinking, rhythmic, and refrains from overwhelming the senses.
His debut release "Chrysalis" is a hypnotic instrumental recital that swiftly plunges the listener into an otherworldly state, layers of synth and strings merge seamlessly and a sense of nostalgia or deja-vu can be felt in its lush and haunting melody.
